St Just In Roseland

St Just in Roseland
Famous for its very special 13th century Church

St Just in Roseland is a stones throw away from St Mawes and has become very notable for its 13th century Church which is set in sub tropical gardens along side a tidal creek of the Carrick Roads.

The Church attracts numerous visitors each year and is currently (as of 2011) undergoing restoration works to replace vast swaths of the roof which is becoming structurally unsound. The funding for this restoration is coming from donations. The target is £350,000.00 and has already raised £230,000.00 due to the goodwill of local residents and visitors.

Next to the Church is Pascoes Boatyard. This boatyard has been in existence sine the 18th century originally run by Fred Pascoe, and is now run by Julian Davy.

St Just in Roseland also once had a post office, but was closed after a St Mawes man performed some interesting parking with his car.
