Tregony

Tregony is repeatedly called the Gateway to the Roseland for obvious reasons as its the first village you'll come to when approaching the Roseland.

A linear village, Tregony has a population of about 1000 and is close to both Truro and St Austell. The village was once known as a town and surprisingly was once home to a small port. The river has since silted up and is no longer navigable, however it was once the lifeblood of the Town/ Village.

Today Tregony is a quiet rural community with a school, pub,  two churchs and community centre along with a sprinkling of local bed and breakfast accommodation and the usual splattering of self catering holiday accommodation.
