Veryan is a lovely village on the Roseland Peninsula popular with visitors year round. The local pub, The New Inn' offers a warm welcome with fine food and drink. Veryan has a number of great beaches nearby, including Carne Beach, Pendower Beach, East & West Portholland Beaches.
Veryan is ideally located to explore the rest of the Roseland Peninsula and Cornwall abd is close to main transport links including Truro and St Austell mainline railway stations.
An interesting feature of Veryan are the five thatched roundhouses built around 1817 by the major land owner, Parson Trist. Theres a tale in circulation that they were built without corners so there was nowhere for the Devil to hide, however there is no evidence of this, or the devil!
