The Idle Rocks Hotel in St Mawes boasts an enviable position built right on the harbour walls. The expansive hotel terrace overlooks the harbour and out to St Mawes Bay and Beyond.

In 2012 the Idle Rocks Hotel was bought By Dave Richards, chairman of Aston Martin, and together with Karen Richards completely refurbished what had become a dilapidated hotel, over a 9 month period. The Idle Rocks is now one of the most impressive hotels in Cornwall and is as sumptuous as the famous Tresanton Hotel, also in St Mawes.

The Hotel has 20 spacious bedrooms and a 65 seater restaurant with chef Peter Conlin at the helm in the Kitchen. “His food exemplifies what we do – excellence, vibrancy and simplicity,” said Richards.
